Italy, the country shaped like a boot was the place i went in the year 2010. My first destination was Venice, the city on water, then florence and lastly, Rome. I arrived in venice when at that time was very very cold(around december). A boat taxi brought us to the hotel. I can't remember what hotel it was but it was nice. The next day it snowed, i felt snow for the first time. Venice had an old church for display and for romantic couples or anyone on honeymoon there, you should go on the gondola, a boat which carries you around the town and would be a romantic experience. other than that it was just shopping. Many branded goods are sold, there's also a market that sells stuff somewhere in there. Besides all that, there's a glass factory nearby which required us to use a boat taxi. The sell glass that is crafted to beautiful things like vase and sculpture. The glass is called venetian glass which is colourful. Our next stop was florence which is a place of shopping for you shopaholics out there, prepare to loose all your money. There, i went to salvatore ferragamo museum that showed the history and designs of their shoes. The rest was just shopping. But my highlight of the stop at florence was when we took a bus to the leaning tower of pisa, it was astounding. The arcitecture of the building and the other buildings around it. When you go to the top of the building, you'll feel a bit scared and weird because you can almost feel that the building is falling down sidewards. Going inside the tower is not free as you have to buy tickets to go inside with a long line of visitors depending on the time you go there. My last stop in italy was Rome. The city is beautiful, magnificent and most importantly untouched by modern designs. The buildings were kept for many years thus its designs being original. A tour guide is needed as many things you could learn from that city since the time of the romans. My favourite place was the colloseum which was the place for brutal entertainment. Last time people were thrown in the ring to fight with animals. Rome is a place where your fats can be burnt as you will walk a lot to visit the attractions. Since vatican city is near rome, we've decided to go there on a day trip. Vatican city is the smallest country in the world covering only 0.17 sq miles. It had one of the biggest museum storing artifacts of the roman empire and egyptian artifacts. The place is beautiful, the arcitecture, the design of the building is grand! The museum is a place which you would have to spend a whole day to finish it as it is so big. After all the attractions are visited, the rest of the holiday is spent on shopping or just chilling around. The people in italy are friendly. The thing you should eat there is the gelato. It is delicious. The pizza and all is okay but not great, you can find better elsewhere. This is all i can write about, cheers :)
